We are a group of young adult Seventh-day Adventist Christians who are seeking to follow God and have a passion to impact the community around us. We believe that encountering Christ changes lives and creates meaning and purpose for our existence. We don’t just want to do church, we want to be the Church.
GLOW Study is Sligo’s Young Adult Sabbath School that meets every Saturday morning in the Memorial Chapel of Sligo Church. This is a weekly interactive study of the Word of God that is led out by a discussion facilitator who encourages small group discussion and interaction from the audience. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and a light breakfast is served before the discussion takes place from 10 11 a.m.
The Grow Track is a step-by-step way to help young adults realize their potential in Christ. Through the Grow Track young adults will learn what it means to be a part of a church family and tools for walking with God daily. They will also discover their gifts and become aware of how God can use them to do something great for His Kingdom.
Every second Sabbath of the month at 2:00pm young adults serve by preparing meals at Sligo Church and handing those same meals to the homeless in D.C. We truly want to make a difference and help put an end to homelessness here in the D.C. We believe the greatest calling in life is to serve those in need.
